OIT Certified Java Developer certification targets information regarding Java components related to web-applications, specifically Applets, Servlets and Java Server Pages (JSPs). To achieve this certification, the candidate must have knowledge about basic Java technologies which is helpful to make a good java engineer. It validates basic knowledge of OO concepts, the Java programming language and general knowledge of Java platforms and technologies.

OIT Certified Engineer

This level is intended to verify that the participant is able to write a real-world commercial application, solving all typical problems. It is the highest qualification that OIT confirms for the Standard Edition Java programmer. The SCJCD exam covers the Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) version 1.4 code, corresponding to Servlets version 2.4 and JSP version 2.0. The participant is allowed to use CORBA, RMI-IIOP, advance web tier technologies, STRUTS,JSF,WSRP web browsers and third party libraries of any kind, because these might make a task too easy and are also subject of other certifications. To achieve this certification, candidates must successfully complete one exam.

OIT Certified Architect

OIT Certified Java Architect is the advanced Java programmer certification level. The participant is allowed to use socket programming, advance security, web communications. He or she is allowed to use any preferred Java IDE. The successful applicant will take responsibility for the implementation of complex applications with complete delivery responsibility for complex systems components the creation of specifications and designs and ensuring development work meets customer expectations in quality and timescale. This certification is for enterprise architects responsible for architecting and designing Java EE compliant applications with an emphasis on making the best use of Java EE features to create flexible, scalable, secure designs.
